Assistant Controller

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Assistant Controller to support the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions. The role will assist in overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, improve financial processes, and support month‑end and year‑end close activities. The Assistant Controller works closely with the Controller, finance leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver timely financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the company’s general accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and supporting documentation.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable accounting standards.
• Support consolidation of financial statements across multiple business units or entities.
• Analyze financial results and explain variances.
• Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with GAAP/IFRS.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
