ASCEND Commercial Operations Leadership Program

About the role

The ASCEND program is a 12‑month, highly selective development track designed to fast‑track high‑potential commercial talent into field‑sales supervisory and commercial‑operations leadership positions. Participants rotate through field assignments, gain strategic commercial exposure, receive executive mentorship and tackle stretch projects that build both personal and professional capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support territory and area commercial objectives through disciplined execution of agreed business priorities.
• Analyze performance data, identify gaps and recommend actions to improve sales, distribution, pricing discipline and program execution.
• Translate commercial strategies into clear field activities, milestones and success metrics while tracking relevant KPIs.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external trade partners, understand outlet dynamics and contribute to initiatives that improve coverage, visibility and trade program execution.
• Lead frontline teams by applying coaching, feedback and performance‑management practices, taking ownership of results and adapting to changing priorities.
• Drive cross‑functional projects, influence stakeholders with data‑driven insights and model PMI leadership behaviours such as inclusion, collaboration and resilience.
