Apigee Developer – API Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Apigee Developer to design, develop, and manage API solutions on Google Cloud's Apigee platform. The role involves creating secure, high‑performance API proxies and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable integrations that meet business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API proxies using Apigee Edge.
• Implement security policies, access controls, and performance optimizations.
• Provide L2 engineering support for data components such as Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, and PostgreSQL.
• Manage cloud product releases, upgrades, and patches.
• Troubleshoot issues in partnership with Google Global Support Center.
• Support Apigee OPDK services and auxiliary components like Edge Microgateway.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Apigee.
• Ability to work onsite daily in BGC, Taguig.
• Eligibility to live and work in the Philippines.

Required skills

• Apigee Edge and API Gateway management.
• RESTful API design, Node.js, JavaScript.
• API security protocols and access control mechanisms.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Maven.
• Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
• Data components: Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, PostgreSQL.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and service mesh.
