API Developer

About the role

4impact is looking for experienced API Developers to design and implement integrations on a microservices‑based architecture. You will work with modern Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to build robust, scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Implement microservice integrations and manage event streaming with Apache Kafka.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS, leveraging CloudFormation, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
• Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Configure and manage API gateways (Apigee Edge or Apigee X) and ensure security with Spring Security.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in API and microservices development.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proven experience designing integrations on microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools for infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
• Experience with Spring Security and systems integration.
