Android Software Engineer - Finance Super App

About the role

We are looking for an Android Software Engineer to help build the native Android experience for BJAK's finance super‑app. You will work on clean user flows, fast performance, and high‑quality mobile features that serve real customers across insurance, payments, claims, renewals and broader financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship Android features using Kotlin.
• Create intuitive mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend REST APIs and ensure stability, security and reliability of mobile flows.
• Improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Leverage analytics, user behaviour data and production issue reports to continuously enhance the product.
• Build AI‑assisted mobile experiences only when they add genuine value to the user journey.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Strong Android fundamentals with a track record of shipping production apps.
• Good knowledge of Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture.
• Solid understanding of mobile UX, usability, edge cases and end‑to‑end user flows.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
• High ownership, fast execution and strong attention to product quality.
• Portfolio, app links, GitHub or screenshots of shipped work are a strong advantage.
