Android Engineer

About the role

Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is looking for an Android Engineer to own the development of its mobile client. You will turn business requirements into high‑quality, scalable code while ensuring a seamless user experience for millions of crypto users.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of the Android client, delivering functional, maintainable code.
• Identify, debug, and resolve production issues; optimise performance and device compatibility.
• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies to continuously improve the app’s performance and user experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 3 years of client‑side development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin with solid programming habits and good design sense.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented concepts and common design patterns.
• Experience with Android UI development, popular libraries, and open‑source frameworks.
• Proficiency in multi‑threaded programming and knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS/Socket communication.
• Passionate about mobile R&D, quick learner, team‑player with strong responsibility and pressure resistance.
