Android Engineer

About the role

Coins, the leading crypto brand in the Philippines, is looking for an Android Engineer to join its fast‑growing mobile team. You will help shape the experience of millions of users by building and maintaining a secure, high‑performance Android application for buying, selling, and managing cryptocurrencies.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end development of the Android client, translating business requirements into clean, scalable code.
• Identify, debug, and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Optimize app performance, device compatibility, and implement seamless system upgrades.
• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and propose improvements to user experience and engineering efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Android client development.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficient in Java and Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of Android UI development and common Android libraries.
• Experience with multithreaded programming.
• Familiarity with HTTP/HTTPS and Socket communication.
• Use of design patterns and best coding practices.
