Analytics Engineer

About the role

You'll build the analytics layer for Finance and Marketing & Growth, creating reliable data foundations that support reporting and self‑service insights across the company. The role also involves shaping how analytics engineering scales as data volume and team size increase.

Key responsibilities

• Build the semantic layer that powers Finance's financial reporting, turning business logic into reliable gold‑layer datasets.
• Develop the analytics layer for Marketing & Growth, enabling self‑service reporting on acquisition, funnels, and campaign performance.
• Design scalable data models in Databricks silver and gold layers, applying dimensional modeling techniques.
• Build and maintain dbt models (staging, intermediate, marts) with tests, documentation, and reusable macros.
• Support other analysts across the data team, optimizing data models for performance and reliability.
• Contribute to defining the strategy and technical standards for analytics engineering as the function grows.

Required profile

• Strong SQL expertise, including complex queries, window functions, and query optimization on large datasets.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt – models, macros, tests, documentation, and CI workflows.
• Strong dimensional modeling experience (3NF/Inmon, star schema, or anchor modeling).
• Experience building semantic layers or maintaining a single source of truth for business metrics.
• Experience in banking or fintech is a plus, especially data modeling for financial products.
• Comfortable working in Git‑based ELT workflows.
