Analyst – Energy, Risk & Accounting

About the role

The Analyst – Energy, Risk & Accounting will join Shell’s Trading Settlements and Accounting (TSA) team in Manila, supporting the North America Products business. The role focuses on daily invoice review, settlement processing, and hydrocarbon accounting for the downstream and trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑time, accurate review of commodity invoices in line with contractual terms and Shell’s control framework.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, manage 3rd‑party settlement risks, and ensure KPI targets are met.
• Support sales billing, purchase settlements, debt chasing, and inventory valuation activities.
• Maintain and update required reports, escalating issues when necessary.
• Develop effective relationships with traders, commercial operators, tax, and other finance partners.
• Provide information to internal and external auditors and facilitate walkthrough meetings.
• Identify and contribute to process improvement and simplification initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing.
• At least 1 year of invoice processing experience or 2‑3 years in accounts reconciliation/payable.
• Practical knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
