AML Transaction Monitoring Team Leader

About the role

PwC is seeking an experienced AML Transaction Monitoring Team Leader to oversee a team of analysts and quality checkers in its Makati office. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with anti‑money‑laundering regulations, managing KYC and transaction monitoring processes, and delivering high‑quality results for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of analysts and quality checkers, assigning KYC cases and monitoring daily progress.
• Prioritise workload, track statuses, and resolve issues or escalations promptly.
• Lead daily production meetings, set priorities, and communicate project updates.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet production and quality targets.
• Support the Delivery Manager with overall operations and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with leadership on performance metrics and monthly KPI reporting.
• Oversee attendance, capacity planning, and deputy team leader assignments.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and organise daily team huddles.
• Liaise with key stakeholders and report risks, blockers, and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AML regulatory requirements, KYC onboarding or transaction monitoring.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
• Resilient, detail‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience supervising teams and managing operational performance.
