About the role

The Air Freight Operations Specialist manages air‑freight shipments from initiation through delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and high customer satisfaction. The role involves direct customer engagement, handling incidents, processing documentation, and monitoring shipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to collect shipment information, address incidents, and resolve complaints.
• Capture and assign costs and revenues to customer profiles, resolving billing discrepancies.
• Process bookings, gather required documentation, and coordinate local and international transport activities.
• Manage shipments according to service commitments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Identify and report operational exceptions or irregularities to stakeholders.
• Improve shipment data quality and maintain accurate records.
• Follow regulatory compliance procedures for commodities, destinations, and legal requirements.
• Develop optimal shipment routing solutions that meet customer needs and maximize profitability.
• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices with supporting documentation.
• Monitor shipment performance using available tools and recommend improvements.
