AI Engineer

About the role

Join Macquarie’s technology team to drive AI‑assisted software design, building and delivery. You will work with product owners, business analysts and engineers to create reliable, scalable solutions that accelerate business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation and AI‑enhanced tools that improve system reliability and delivery speed.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implement end‑to‑end features.
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines, version control and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams to continuously refine workflows using AI‑generated outputs.
• Build and share reusable prompts, templates and frameworks that standardise AI‑assisted development.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong coding ability in Python and familiarity with Git.
• Hands‑on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Proven track record of creating reusable AI prompts or templates.
• Experience working in Agile, cross‑functional teams.
