Advocacy & Communications Associate – Conservation

About the role

The Advocacy & Communications Associate will support Masungi Georeserve Foundation’s mission to protect limestone formations and biodiversity in the Philippines. Working within the communications team, you will design and execute creative campaigns, events, and partnerships that inspire conservation action.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and manage content across communication platforms in collaboration with the team.
• Lead local and national campaigns that advance conservation and geotourism objectives.
• Create, coordinate, and mobilize volunteers, allies, partners, and coalitions.
• Engage media partners and journalists to amplify change‑making conservation stories.
• Write grants and proposals, and secure national and international partnerships and outreach opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Communication, Communications, Environmental Science, Biology, Forestry, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; early‑career professional.
• Physically fit and comfortable with hiking, fieldwork, and outdoor environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and external relations skills.
• Strong interest in environmental conservation, sustainability, and public advocacy.
• Leadership potential, sound judgment, resilience, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
