Accounts Payable Supervisor (SAP S/4HANA)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our client’s AP team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume BPO environment. The role focuses on accurate invoice processing, vendor management, and compliance while leveraging SAP S/4HANA to drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Accounts Payable operations, including PO, Non‑PO, imports, brokers, and employee expense processing.
• Ensure compliance with SLA, turnaround time, quality standards, and internal controls.
• Oversee month‑end closing activities such as accruals, reversals, and journal entries.
• Manage clearing and reconciliation of accounts (GRIR, VAT, MIT, EIT, CIP, advances).
• Monitor AP aging, compliance reports, and other financial control reports.
• Handle escalations and coordinate with procurement, logistics, treasury, and finance teams.
• Allocate work, monitor team productivity, and develop AP Analysts and Senior Analysts.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, audit requirements, and financial controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Act as SAP S/4HANA AP SME, supporting system integration, enhancements, UAT, upgrades, and process transitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience with strong AP leadership exposure.
• Proven experience in manufacturing or import‑heavy environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supplier, broker, and customs‑related transactions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and escalation handling skills.
• Advanced Excel, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience supporting audit and compliance reviews.
• Exposure to process transition, stabilization, or shared services environments is a plus.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
