Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports. This role supports the Accounting Manager by reviewing analyses, reconciliations, and documentation, while supervising a team of first‑line processors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate account analysis, substantiation, and reconciliations using complete supporting documents.
• Check the accuracy of financial reports before submission to the Accounting Manager.
• Implement accounting methods, internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions and oversee daily/weekly account reviews.
• Review the Schedule of Accounts and Notes to Financial Statements prepared by processors.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, identify issues, and support process improvements.
• Supervise and coach first‑line processors, addressing performance gaps and fostering development.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience or 2 years in financial audit with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with accruals, complex account analysis, and high‑volume reconciliations.
• Strong ability to plan, prioritize workload, and adapt to changes.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
