Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer will work on‑site in Makati, supporting RCBC Leasing and Finance Corporation’s finance function. This full‑time position focuses on preparing, reviewing and analysing financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow statements.
• Manage general‑ledger entries and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Use accounting software to record transactions, reconcile accounts and support audits.
• Prepare regulatory reports and assist with external audit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial information, support budgeting and forecasting, and improve accounting processes and controls.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in finance and accounting, preferably in a leasing or financing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field; CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax rules applicable to financial institutions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
