Accounting Close Associate – Finance Reporting

About the role

The Accounting Close team at Deutsche Bank ensures accurate transaction recording and provides a reliable financial data set for internal and external reporting. As an Accounting Close Associate, you will support the production of head‑office and risk reporting, perform quality assurance on reports, and act as the first escalation point for finance‑related queries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review inputs for financial reports, including data gathering, polishing, reporting and submission.
• Serve as the primary contact for finance community engagements and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Front and Middle Office, Country Finance, Operations and other support functions to resolve issues, mitigate risks and strengthen controls.
• Establish and monitor procedures to meet SLAs and KPIs, driving performance improvements.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on complex financial reporting and analysis tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field with accounting coursework.
• 5‑7 years of solid experience in accounting, finance or audit within banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑player who can also work independently.
