Accountant – Revenue & Billing Operations

About the role

TechnologyAdvice is seeking an Accountant to own and scale its revenue and billing operations. The role sits within a lean Finance team and works closely with Sales and Client Success to ensure accurate revenue recognition, timely invoicing, and clean financial data across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end revenue‑related processes, including invoicing, revenue recognition, and reconciliations.
• Maintain and update sales orders, ensuring accuracy across billing and revenue records.
• Use Salesforce and NetSuite to manage billing cycles, track revenue, and resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to verify order details and ensure timely invoicing.
• Support audits and internal reviews by providing clean documentation and data.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Balance recurring monthly tasks with ad‑hoc projects and reporting.
• Help manage shared team workflows such as inbox requests to ensure timely responses.

Required profile

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an accrual‑based environment with exposure to revenue recognition.
• Strong attention to detail and a track record of maintaining error‑free financial records.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across Finance, Sales, and Client Success teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce.
