Accountant – Month-End Close & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to own the month‑end close process, deliver insightful management and tax reporting, and ensure accurate account reconciliations. You will work closely with operational teams to turn financial data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities: prepare and review journals, perform balance‑sheet analysis, and compile reporting packs with commentary and metrics.
• Conduct in‑depth analysis of financial records, liaising with operational contacts to derive insights.
• Prepare management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the reporting team with FBT and income‑tax information.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests and assist in statutory accounts preparation.
• Perform regular accounts reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives.
• Handle ad‑hoc accounting tasks as required.

Required profile

• More than four years of financial accounting experience in a public accounting firm or private corporate environment.
• Qualified post‑graduate accounting qualification (CPA) or actively working toward certification.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
