Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage accounts payable, general ledger and month‑end close activities. The role involves processing transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and supporting audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review daily accounting transactions, validating supporting documentation.
• Maintain internal controls over accounting processes and ensure reliable financial statements.
• Utilize systems such as Ariba, Oracle Fusion, Certify and other related applications for transaction processing.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and reports for month‑end close and stakeholder requests.
• Handle payment processing for approved invoices and collaborate with the Treasury team.
• Record fixed‑asset transactions and review related entries affecting pre‑payments, leases and intercompany.
• Support internal and external audit documentation and maintain organized accounting records.
• Assist in process documentation, workflow improvements and project support as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from a reputable university.
• Minimum five years of combined experience in accounts payable, general accounting or audit.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• CPA certification is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and applications.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience using Ariba, Oracle Fusion, SAP Ariba and expense management tools.
