Accountant III – General Ledger & US GAAP Specialist

About the role

The Accountant III will support the balance sheet and general ledger, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies. This position focuses on accurate record‑keeping, month‑end close, and identifying process improvements to increase efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and bank transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including balance‑sheet accounts (5‑15 reconciliations per month).
• Assist in financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Review resale tax certificates for multi‑state compliance.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and analysis.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the GL function.
• Participate in special projects and assist other teams as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience for US‑based companies.
• Strong background in general accounting, journal entry preparation, fixed‑asset and payroll accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with superb attention to detail.
