Accountant (ERP & Finance Operations)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Accountant to support day‑to‑day finance operations for a growing global furniture brand. The role focuses on ERP‑driven processes, compliance, and transactional accounting, working primarily within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll support.
• Perform daily transaction postings, reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.
• Support month‑end closing activities such as journal entries, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Execute manual postings, reconciliations and reporting within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system optimisations leveraging ERP capabilities.
• Assist in the preparation of BAS and GST workings, ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations) to track orders, collections and financial activity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting operations (AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, MYOB, SAP, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of accounting fundamentals and financial processes.
• Exposure to Australian taxation (BAS, GST) or a strong willingness to learn.
