Account Director – Finance & Accounting Operations

About the role

The Account Director – Finance & Accounting Operations will lead senior client relationships for US and Australian accounts, acting as the primary executive liaison for C‑suite and VP‑level stakeholders. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of finance and accounting outsourcing services, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Own senior client relationships across US and Australian accounts, serving as the main executive point of contact.
• Drive delivery accountability for AR, AP, GL, reporting, audit, billing, collections, and customer support while meeting SLA targets.
• Interpret AR reports, aging, denials and collection trends to identify risks and prioritize actions.
• Monitor work queues, dashboards and financial reports to spot bottlenecks and resolve audit issues, claim rejections, and escalations.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams (Audit, Billing, Coding, Collections, Finance, CRM, Customer Support) to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain accurate tracking and documentation in HubSpot and ensure real‑time visibility of operational data.
• Lead new client onboarding, scope expansions, process mapping, technology integration and go‑live planning.
• Identify recurring operational issues, drive workflow improvements and ensure HIPAA/PHI compliance.
• Support presales activities, contribute to RFP responses, solution design and pricing validation.
• Build, develop and retain a 200+ headcount delivery team, establishing career pathways and performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
• 12–15 years of experience in Finance & Accounting Outsourcing.
• At least 5 years in a senior client‑facing or account leadership role managing teams of 200+.
• Proven ability to manage C‑suite relationships and drive large‑scale delivery operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HubSpot for CRM and workflow tracking.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling standards.
