Web Developer – WordPress & ExpressionEngine (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer with strong expertise in both WordPress and ExpressionEngine to build, customize, and maintain CMS‑driven websites. The role is fully remote and requires collaboration with designers and project managers during US Eastern Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance websites built on WordPress and ExpressionEngine.
• Customize themes, templates, plugins and ExpressionEngine add‑ons to meet business requirements.
• Convert Figma designs and other design assets into responsive, user‑friendly pages.
• Write clean, efficient PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript code.
• Implement SEO best practices, including clean markup, structured data and performance optimisation.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and external services.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug and apply fixes promptly.
• Manage version control and deployments using Git.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with both WordPress and ExpressionEngine.
• Strong PHP development background.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience building responsive sites from Figma or similar design files.
• Familiarity with Git and version‑control best practices.
• Ability to work during hours that overlap with US Eastern Time.
