Web Application Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Application Developer with strong Node.js backend and React frontend expertise to build and maintain mobile‑friendly Progressive Web Applications that power custom enterprise tools for Emerson's Lifecycle Services business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain full‑stack web applications using React and Node.js (Express.js or NestJS) for Emerson’s custom enterprise tools.
• Implement Progressive Web App features such as service workers, offline caching, push notifications and installability.
• Design, develop and support RESTful APIs that serve web and mobile clients.
• Create and manage MongoDB collections, schemas and queries following NoSQL best practices.
• Develop reusable React components with state management (Redux or Context API) and responsive, touch‑friendly layouts.
• Integrate front‑end applications with third‑party enterprise services and handle authentication, error handling and offline fallback.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, production support and debugging across Node.js, MongoDB and React/PWA layers.
• Take part in code reviews, Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product owners, analysts and QA teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of full‑stack web development experience with Node.js and React.
• Hands‑on experience building Progressive Web Applications.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work in sprint‑based Agile teams.
