Water Treatment Operator

About the role

The Didipio mine in the Philippines is seeking a reliable Operator for its water treatment facility. The role focuses on optimizing water treatment processes, ensuring water quality standards are met, and supporting safe and efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System requirements.
• Refer to Safety Data Sheets when handling reagents and hazardous substances.
• Monitor water treatment services, ensuring adequate reagent supply, checking tank levels, pumps and pipes for abnormalities.
• Assist with routine inspections, identify maintenance needs, and report issues promptly.
• Verify accuracy of data entered into operational systems and raise any discrepancies.
• Complete all required Standard Operating Procedure sign‑offs.

Required profile

• Behaviour aligned with OceanaGold values and the OceanaGold Way.
• At least a high‑school education.
• Knowledge of mobile equipment such as skid loader, forklift, telehandler, and overhead crane.
• Experience in a water‑treatment environment is an advantage.
• Basic Life Support training.
• Valid driver’s licence (mandatory).
• TESDA‑accredited HEO – Forklift NC‑II certification; other forklift/crane licences are a plus.
