US Tax Manager

About the role

TOA Global is seeking an experienced US Tax Manager to lead its North American tax operations from the Philippines. This night‑shift role (Monday‑Friday, 9:00 PM‑6:00 AM PHT) offers the chance to shape client relationships, mentor a high‑performing team, and drive operational excellence across a global accounting ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end tax preparation and compliance for individuals, S‑Corporations, and partnerships, ensuring strict adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Provide final technical review of all US tax returns before filing.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals to meet rigorous US tax deadlines.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with US‑based clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities and resolve complex tax issues.
• Optimize use of tax and accounting software (ProConnect, Canopy, QuickBooks, Xero, Gusto) and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive US tax experience.
• At least 5 years of proven team‑management experience, preferably in public accounting or an SME environment.
• Deep knowledge of US tax accounting, nexus, and state‑specific filing requirements.
• Analytical mindset with strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
