US Staff Accountant (Remote – Philippines)

About the role

Join Remote People as a full‑time US Staff Accountant working remotely from the Philippines. You will support a US‑based client on tax preparation, accounting engagements and real‑world problem solving while staying connected with the team through regular virtual meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare federal income tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120).
• Review balance sheets, general ledgers, trial balances and profit & loss statements.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries and financial statements.
• Support bookkeeping and accounting projects in QuickBooks.
• Research tax and accounting questions and recommend practical solutions.
• Use Excel, cloud tools and AI to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Prior public‑accounting experience with hands‑on tax return preparation.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail and commitment to client confidentiality.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Comfort with technology and eagerness to adopt new tools.
