About the role

Geraci LLP is seeking a highly organized US Payroll Administrator to manage end‑to‑end payroll for its remote team. This finance‑critical position requires precision, confidentiality, and a solid grasp of U.S. payroll systems and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Process bi‑weekly or semi‑monthly payroll using Gusto.
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll records in QuickBooks.
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions accurately.
  • Handle employee onboarding and offboarding in payroll systems.
  • Administer benefits, PTO tracking, and payroll adjustments.
  • Prepare and file payroll taxes, ensuring federal and state compliance.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees promptly.
  • Generate payroll reports for finance and leadership.
  • Support audits with proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting to align systems.
  • Assist with firm‑wide initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

  • Minimum 3 + years of U.S. payroll processing experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Gusto and QuickBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting professional services firms (law‑firm experience is a plus).
  • Two professional references and a recent criminal background check.
