UI/UX Developer – AI Development (Hybrid)

About the role

The UI/UX Developer on Insight's AI Development team will design and build intuitive, visually polished user interfaces for AI‑powered applications. You will own the user experience from concept through implementation, creating wireframes, prototypes, and production‑ready front‑end code.

Key responsibilities

• Design user interfaces for AI‑driven web applications, including chat interfaces, dashboards, forms, and data visualisations.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Develop responsive, accessible front‑end components using React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Establish and maintain a consistent design system and component library for the AI Development team.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and design reviews to validate and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate with full‑stack developers, AI engineers and product owners to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with product goals.
• Ensure WCAG accessibility compliance and cross‑browser/device compatibility.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in UI/UX design and front‑end development.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user‑centred design skills.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD.
• Experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping and usability testing.
• Experience building or contributing to reusable component libraries or design systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and iterating based on feedback.
