Transport Planner – Route Optimization & Dispatch

About the role

The Transport Planner is responsible for designing and optimizing daily transportation routes to ensure timely and cost‑effective deliveries. You will work closely with distribution centers, warehouses and transport teams to align shipment schedules and respond to real‑time operational changes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise transportation routes and dispatch schedules.
• Analyse order volumes, delivery zones and fleet capacity to create efficient dispatch plans.
• Coordinate with DC, warehouse and transport teams to synchronise shipment timelines.
• Monitor route performance, adjust plans based on real‑time data and operational disruptions.
• Support load planning, route consolidation and transport cost optimisation.
• Maintain accurate transport planning data and generate regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in transport planning, logistics operations, route or dispatch planning.
• Proven ability to analyse data and make data‑driven decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and execution accuracy.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
