Transport Lead

About the role

The Transport Lead is responsible for overseeing all transportation services within the facilities management operation. Acting as the central liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams, this role ensures efficient, cost‑effective, and reliable transport delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and coordinate transport requests from clients and internal departments.
• Schedule and dispatch vehicles with vendors, optimizing routes and vehicle utilization.
• Maintain transport calendars and manage logistics for regular and ad‑hoc needs.
• Serve as primary point of contact for transportation vendors, communicating requirements and monitoring SLA compliance.
• Review and approve transport requests, ensuring alignment with budget guidelines and company policies.
• Validate vendor invoices, approve billing, and track transportation expenses.
• Prepare regular reports on transport costs, utilization, and vendor performance.
• Communicate trip status, delays, or changes to clients and gather feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of requests, approvals, and completed trips.
