Training Specialist

About the role

The Training Specialist supports Core Operations by delivering effective onboarding and ongoing training programs. The role ensures new and existing employees acquire the knowledge and skills needed to meet performance expectations and contribute to team success.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate training sessions for new hires and current staff.
• Maintain, update, and create training curricula and materials.
• Assess employee performance, provide feedback, and report to leadership and HR.
• Collaborate with leaders on performance management and incorporate survey feedback to improve training.
• Monitor training progress, identify procedural challenges, and assist in resolution.
• Meet MedRisk core values, departmental goals, and complete special projects as assigned.
• Support Core Operations tasks and adhere to inter‑departmental policies.
• Assist trainers during workshops and training events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (internal candidates).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Creative, innovative, and able to design engaging training programs.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and listening skills.
• Independent, detail‑oriented, and adaptable.
• Strong work ethic and ability to give/receive constructive feedback.
