Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Join Macquarie’s global technology team to ensure high‑quality delivery of business‑critical applications for Macquarie Capital users. You will work across SaaS platforms, in‑house systems and data migration projects, collaborating with teams in Manila, Sydney and Hyderabad.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design test strategies for both manual and automated testing.
• Create, maintain and execute test cases for SaaS solutions such as Salesforce and Microsoft 365, as well as internally developed applications.
• Identify risks, manage defects and ensure adequate test coverage for each release.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and continuously improve testing processes in an Agile environment.
• Support data‑validation activities using SQL/SOQL and assist with data migration testing.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software testing experience, including at least 1 year in test automation.
• Strong manual testing, test design, planning and execution skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional Agile teams.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Automation tools: Playwright, Robot Framework.
• Programming/scripting: Python, REST APIs.
• Data validation: SQL, SOQL.
• Platforms: Salesforce, Microsoft 365, JIRA Xray.
• Cloud environments (beneficial): AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted engineering tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) is a plus.
