Terminal Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Terminal Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day activities in the terminal, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient product handling, maintenance, permits, emergency response and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise product handling activities (vessel, truck, rail, pipeline receipt and delivery) and act as Shore Officer when required.
• Oversee maintenance plans, conduct surveillance inspections and ensure corrective actions and HSSE‑critical equipment are maintained.
• Manage Permit to Work processes for non‑routine activities and perform PI/LPI roles as needed.
• Ensure approved Management of Change (MOC) actions are executed in compliance with procedures.
• Test emergency response preparedness and act as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Supervise tank operations, inter‑tank transfers and pump/run assessments.
• Oversee testing, sampling and inventory management, preparing end‑of‑day reports.
• Conduct daily operator rounds, shift handovers and lead on‑site safety discussions.
• Provide training for terminal operations staff and support the Terminal Manager in issue identification and action planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising terminal or similar industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE standards, Permit to Work and Management of Change processes.
• Ability to lead safety talks, toolbox meetings and incident learning sessions.
• Experience in emergency response coordination and inventory reporting.
• Demonstrated capability to train and develop operational staff.
