Technician 4 – Equipment Maintenance

About the role

The Technician 4 – Equipment Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of automated test handlers and related manufacturing equipment used in wafer‑level dicing, inspection, mounting and tape‑and‑reel processes. Working on the shop floor, you will lead maintenance activities, support production continuity and mentor junior technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, convert, calibrate, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated test handlers and their sub‑assemblies.
• Act as Officer‑In‑Charge during engineer or supervisor absence, handling equipment downtime, repairs, and maintenance for wafer‑level packaging and module operations.
• Train operators on basic machine set‑up and coach junior technicians in repair and troubleshooting of packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimise downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
• Report equipment issues, losses or damages to supervisors and monitor spare‑part availability.
• Optimise process parameters to maximise utilisation of manpower, materials, machines and methods.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental policies, health and safety requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience with maintenance of wafer‑level packaging or module assembly equipment.
• Ability to act independently as OIC and provide training to operators.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Commitment to quality, safety and environmental standards.
