Technical Bidding Lead / Structural Designer

About the role

The Technical Bidding Lead / Structural Designer will head the technical side of bid preparation at Strongbond Philippines Inc., ensuring every proposal is safe, cost‑effective, and clearly communicated to clients. This senior position combines structural design, value engineering, and client‑facing presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural design development for bid proposals, guaranteeing code compliance (NSCP, DPWH, NBC) and alignment with project scope.
• Prepare and validate structural calculations, schemes, and design assumptions supporting technical and commercial offers.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives to identify alternative materials, methods, and design approaches that reduce cost without compromising quality.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, acting as the primary technical liaison during pre‑bid meetings, site visits, and clarification requests.
• Review technical documents (drawings, specifications, scope of work) for incoming inquiries, assess feasibility, identify risks, and ensure compliance with client requirements and standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in structural design and/or technical bidding within the construction industry.
• Proven managerial or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of local building regulations, including NSCP, DPWH standards, and NBC.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
