TCMS Engineer – Railway Systems

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a TCMS Engineer to join its railway projects in Spain. You will work on Train Control and Management System (TCMS) development, integration and evolution, supporting both onboard and factory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and evolve TCMS software for hybrid train models.
• Collaborate with onboard and industrial teams to ensure seamless system performance.
• Analyse and resolve technical incidents in railway systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary groups (software, hardware, validation).
• Participate in continuous improvement and system optimisation activities.
• Support technical project tracking and occasional national/international travel.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the railway sector, specifically with TCMS.
• Experience with major manufacturers (e.g., CAF) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ development for embedded systems.
• Ability to work in complex technical environments and multidisciplinary teams.
• High level of English for international collaboration.
