Tax Specialist – Tax Reporting & Compliance

About the role

The Tax Specialist will support the tax reporting, planning and compliance function across the organization. You will ensure accurate tax reports, monitor obligations, and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders. This role requires deep knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and strong analytical abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tax compliance and prepare accurate tax reports for management.
• Issue tax updates and alerts to finance and other business units.
• Participate in monthly Regulatory Compliance Control Group meetings.
• Maintain the regulatory reports database and review tax questionnaires from regional and corporate offices.
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and relationships with the Bureau of Internal Revenue and local government units.
• Conduct tax training sessions for financial advisors and other staff.
• Provide quarterly finance updates and support finance‑related business units.
• Develop and review tax planning strategies, including treaty relief and transfer pricing.
• Handle BIR registrations, rulings, approvals, and related documentation.
• Respond to day‑to‑day internal tax queries and coordinate with industry associations on tax issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Law school graduate and/or Certified Public Accountant designation is an advantage.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in tax practice, including tax audits and consultancy work.
• Experience with a reputable audit or tax services firm is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
