Tax Specialist (Australian Tax)

About the role

Join a newly created Pioneer team within a leading Australian Big Four firm and provide Australian tax expertise to sophisticated SME and mid‑market portfolios. You will work remotely from the Philippines with a hybrid setup, supporting clients on financial reporting, compliance and technical tax matters while gaining international exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Australian financial statements for multiple entity structures and ensure audit readiness.
• Process journals into client accounting systems and compile supporting workpapers.
• Prepare and review Australian income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with GST and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with the Australian Taxation Office on client matters and provide advisory support.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Australian public‑practice accounting experience.
• Experience with SME and mid‑market clients (AUD 5 M–100 M+ turnover).
• Proven ability to prepare Australian financial statements, tax workpapers and income tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, GST and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, research and communication skills.
