Tax Officer

About the role

The Tax Officer ensures that business units comply with national and local tax laws and regulations, identifies potential tax risks, and supports the resolution of tax audits and assessments. This role combines compliance monitoring, advisory services, and process improvement to safeguard the organization’s tax position.

Key responsibilities

• Review and compute monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, ensuring timely filing and payment.
• Monitor statutory compliance of business units with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements.
• Evaluate tax exposures, recommend mitigation actions, and support internal tax advisory needs.
• Assist during BIR audits or assessments, preparing documentation and responding to findings.
• Compute, remit, and monitor local taxes.
• Provide tax advisory support to business units.
• Lead process‑improvement projects to streamline tax compliance and reduce errors.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• At least two years of relevant tax experience, preferably with a Big‑4 firm or a tax services firm.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
