Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead all tax-related functions for the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring full compliance with Philippine tax regulations. This senior position provides strategic tax guidance to the finance team and senior management while driving efficiency and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, file and pay all national and local tax returns, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes, Percentage Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax, Local Business Tax and Annual Registration Fee.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual tax compliance activities and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Manage relationships and correspondence with the BIR, SEC and LGUs.
• Review and calculate current and deferred tax provisions in line with PFRS.
• Reconcile tax‑related general ledger accounts and support tax disclosures in audited financial statements.
• Develop, implement and improve internal tax policies, procedures and controls.
• Train and mentor accounting and finance staff on tax compliance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a valid CPA license in the Philippines.
• 7‑10 years of tax experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in financial services, banking, fintech or consumer finance is highly preferred.
• Background in a Big 4 audit firm or a large multinational/local corporation is an advantage.
• Willingness to work onsite in BGC, Taguig and ability to start immediately.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Philippine tax law and regulations.
• Expertise in tax compliance, tax planning and tax audit management.
• Strong understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• Ability to develop and enforce tax policies, procedures and internal controls.
