Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and reporting for our property development projects. The role involves ensuring timely filing, managing audits, and providing strategic tax insights within a fast‑growing real‑estate organization.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 100% on‑time and accurate filing and payment of all national and local taxes, complying with BIR and LGU requirements.
• Manage renewal of business permits and other regulatory requirements with Local Government Units.
• Monitor and ensure timely payment of real property taxes.
• Review and validate tax returns, working papers, and supporting schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform reconciliation of accounting records and tax reports to align tax and financial data.
• Prepare and support BIR and LGU audit requirements, including schedules and documentation.
• Analyze financial data to identify tax exposures, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with BIR tax mapping and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of tax‑related general ledger accounts.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of Tax Assistants.
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date tax records and documentation for the group.
• Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and issuances, implementing changes promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a valid CPA license.
• 5–7 years of tax compliance experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in real‑estate or property development.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and LGU requirements.
• Experience handling tax audits and assessments is an advantage.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
