Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead Lavie Group’s tax function, ensuring accurate filing, payment, and compliance with national and local tax regulations. This role provides advisory support to business units and drives process improvements to enhance tax efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns and payments on time and accurately.
• Verify that local business and real‑property taxes are reasonable and compliant with current tax laws.
• Maintain company compliance with all applicable tax statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Manage disputed and resolved tax assessments.
• Provide tax advisory services and support to various business units.
• Initiate projects to simplify processes, reduce errors, and improve overall tax compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• LLB/JD or lawyer qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or a comparable tax services firm.
• At least 5 years of overall tax practice experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proven experience in tax compliance review, tax assessments, and tax advisory services.
• Strong understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
