Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager to lead the planning, implementation and compliance of all tax programmes for our companies in the Philippines. The role ensures adherence to local tax laws, internal policies and timely interaction with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the tax calendar, ensuring all required information is gathered and submitted on time.
• Manage the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual tax returns, including income tax, VAT, percentage taxes, fringe benefits tax, withholding tax and documentary stamp tax.
• Ensure tax liability calculations comply with current Philippine tax legislation and internal policies.
• Represent the company before regulatory bodies during tax assessments and audits.
• Provide advisory tax services to senior management and support tax audits or inquiries by the BIR.
• Identify potential tax exposure areas and implement preventive measures.
• Prepare tax reports, compliance updates and communicate complex tax matters to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy or a related field; CPA or Lawyer preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of tax compliance experience for specialist roles or 7–10 years for managerial positions.
• Strong attention to detail, high integrity and the ability to solve problems quickly.
• Excellent collaboration, adaptability and communication skills.

Required skills

• Preparation and filing of tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, fringe benefits tax, documentary stamp tax).
• In‑depth knowledge of the Philippine tax code and BIR regulations.
• Evaluation of tax implications of transactions and provision of recommendations.
• Management of tax audits, preparation of supporting documentation and representation before the BIR.
