Tax Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Tax Compliance Specialist will support Awesome CX by Transcom’s Davao site by managing all statutory tax and regulatory filings. You will ensure timely compliance with PEZA, BIR, SEC, BOI, and local government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit PEZA registration documents for new and expansion projects, secure Start of Commercial Operations (SCO) approvals, and manage Income Tax Holiday (ITH) validation and extensions.
• Handle PEZA reporting, including EZMPR, TIMTA, and Farm‑in/Farm‑out documentation, and obtain Letters of Authority for importations, sales, and equipment transfers.
• File monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR returns such as WHT, VAT, Final Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, and Corporate Income Tax, and process related payments.
• Coordinate BIR audits, VAT refund applications, and RDO transfers for new sites.
• Assist LGUs in securing business permits and annual renewals.
• Submit required reports and documents to SEC and BOI, including Annual Financial Statements and General Information Sheets.
• Perform any other compliance‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or related field (CPA preferred).
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in statutory tax compliance and government reporting in the Philippines.
• Hands‑on experience with PEZA processes and BIR filings.
• Proven track record preparing corporate tax returns and handling SEC/BOI submissions.
• Familiarity with LGU permit processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict regulatory deadlines.
