Tax and Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Tax and Compliance Specialist safeguards GoTeam’s regulatory standing by managing all interactions with Philippine tax and regulatory agencies. This onsite position requires meticulous oversight of filings, audits, and statutory reporting to eliminate risk and maintain the company’s good standing.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings (Income, VAT, Withholding, etc.) and reconcile tax records with financial statements.
• Act as the primary liaison with BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOI and local government units, ensuring timely statutory renewals and compliance.
• Lead preparation for annual tax audits, respond to regulator inquiries, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Philippine tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOI requirements and audit processes.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently onsite.
• Proactive in identifying tax risks and offering mitigation strategies.
