Tax Accountant – Remote US Night Shift

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to join our US CPA client team on a 100% remote, night‑shift schedule. You will work under senior US staff, using cloud‑based tax platforms to prepare accurate individual and business returns for US clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare US federal and state tax returns, focusing on Form 1040, Form 1065, and Form 1120S.
• Enter and reconcile tax data in ProConnect Tax Online, ensuring alignment with source documents.
• Assist with real‑time tax projections and financial updates for proactive advisory.
• Review client documents (W‑2s, 1099s, K‑1s, balance sheets) for completeness and flag missing items.
• Maintain organized digital workpapers, tax binders, and audit trails following firm checklists.
• Collaborate with on‑shore US CPA teams, incorporate feedback, and continuously improve technical US tax knowledge.

Required profile

• Prior experience or formal training in US tax return preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex, multi‑tier review processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proactive, reliable mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• ProConnect Tax Online (or comparable platforms such as UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake).
• Microsoft Excel for data management and reconciliations.
