Tax Accountant – Australian Tax, Remote (WFH)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Australian Tax Accountant to join our remote team. You will provide tax and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge individual and business income tax returns.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and GST returns.
• Draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts.
• Perform routine bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Support audit processes by reviewing client work and documentation.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, answer queries and meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of practical Australian tax experience.
• Proven experience preparing income tax returns and assisting with audits.
• Ability to work independently within the scheduled hours (07:00‑16:00 PHT, Mon‑Fri).
