Systems Engineer (On-Call Rotation)

About the role

First Focus is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join its Manila team, supporting a portfolio of US‑based clients. You will work across diverse Microsoft environments, cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure, handling high‑impact escalations and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve advanced infrastructure, cloud and networking issues across multiple client environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Azure platforms.
• Troubleshoot VMware, Hyper‑V and other virtualised infrastructure.
• Support enterprise networking components such as firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs and DNS.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and related identity services.
• Assist with Azure IaaS services including storage, backups, virtual desktops and application gateways.
• Contribute to Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention, eDiscovery and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Develop PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Act as a senior escalation point and mentor Systems Administrators.
• Participate in a shared on‑call rotation approximately one week every three months.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Microsoft infrastructure and cloud technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across virtualisation and networking.
• Ability to lead high‑level escalations and mentor junior team members.
• Willingness to work US Pacific Standard Time business hours and join an on‑call rotation.
